How Can I Make Lent Meaningful?
Renewing Relationship with God and One Another
The season of Lent is set aside in the Christian calendar as a time to renew our relationships with God and one another. That means, there are two dimensions to Lent: a personal practice, which is focused on deepening our relationship with God, and a communal practice, which helps us to deepen our relationship with other people.
For your personal devotions, we’ve compiled a group of online resources for you to use on a daily basis.
For your communal practice, in addition to our regular Sunday worship, Christ the King will be offering several home Eucharists, where we will share communion with one another, followed by a potluck dinner. (See Events for specific dates.)
We will also be going, as a group, to attend the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit at the Denver Museum of Science and Nature. Tickets are required for this event; more information is available at the church office (Office; 303-424-5288).
You are also welcome to volunteer with one of our outreach ministries, such as St. Clare’s Table and our Neighborhood Dinner, or look for other volunteer opportunities in your community. Finally, Lent is also an appropriate time to make a financial donation to a charity of your choice.
May this Lenten season be a blessing to you and others.
