Music Ministry

Vocal Music

Worshiping Voices Choir

Our amazing group of singers rehearses on Thursdays at 7 pm from September through May. Under Andi Smith’s direction, we prepare to lead the congregation during worship services as well as numerous special services throughout the year. We sing a variety of styles and enjoy learning, laughing, and experience God’s gift of music together.

We are always open to new voices joining with us to make joyful noises unto God.

Children’s Choir

The youngest members of our church come together a few times each year to rehearse and perform during our 9:45am family worship service. We’re sure to hear them again the Sunday after Vacation Bible School in June.

Acoustic Redemption

Acoustic-Redeption-Apr2015Charlie Schlaufman, Barbara Jennings, and Sean and Chelli McGaughey form Acoustic Redemption and offer their inspirational mix of banjo, guitar, and voices monthly at both Sunday morning services.

Handbell Choir

We are privileged to own both a five-octave set of Schulmerich Handbells and a four-octave set of Schulmerich Melody Chimes. Our initial set of two-octave handbells was purchased in 1968, and ours was the first Arvada church to start a handbell choir.

Currently our choir is open to high school students and adults. We love the challenge of learning and performing music from traditional and gospel hymn tunes to classical and contemporary. We rehearse on Monday nights at 7 pm September through May and can provide child care.
