The Believe Out Loud committee is screening the documentary film “The Times of Harvey Milk.” Harvey Milk was one of the United States’ first openly gay political figures, pivotal in fighting anti-gay initiatives across the country and in passing some of the first legislation prohibiting discrimination based on sexual orientation. He remains an enduring icon in the LGBTQIA2+ community to this day. The movie is around 90 minutes long and we will be viewing it in two 45-minute segments on June 1st and 8th. We plan to begin watching about 15 minutes after the start of coffee hour (around 11:00 a.m.). After each segment, we will have a short Q & A segment. We hope that you will join us to learn more about this charismatic, compassionate man.
