Pauli Murray Feast Day July 1st
On Saturday, June 29th at 5:45p.m. we will have a special movie night and gather to watch My Name is Pauli Murray, “a look at the life and ideas of Pauli Murray, a non-binary Black lawyer, activist and poet who influenced both Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Thurgood Marshall.”
Pauli Murray was a committed civil rights activist and lawyer, the first African American woman ordained as a priest in the Episcopal Church, and a fearless early explorer of sexual and gender identity, including their own.
We remember The Rev. Murray and her example as we highlight the CTK parish and Vestry’s affirmation of being a Believe Out Loud welcoming community.
